Becky graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Pre-Medicine before traveling abroad to teach English to preschool-aged children through adult learners in Seoul, South Korea and Santiago, Chile. She has experience in marketing and public relations, non-profit development, business administration, finance, human resources, education, and management. After co-owning and operating a Huntington Learning Center supplemental education franchise in Longmont for five years, she acquired her teaching license while obtaining a Master of Arts degree in Curriculum and Instruction with a concentration in Urban Education through the Denver Teacher Residency at the University of Denver. She taught middle and high school math & science in Denver Public Schools, and then became the STEM Coordinator at Trail Ridge Middle School in SVVSD to become a part of the Race to the Top grant and STEM programming initiative. In 2014 Becky started at the Innovation Center as its Program Manager, responsible for K-12 STEM integration and alignment, as well as data tracking and analysis for the grant. She is originally from the suburbs of Chicago but has been a happy resident of Colorado since 2006.
