Los alumnos exploran qué es lo que hace que los videojuegos sean atractivos mediante el estudio de elementos fundamentales como las reglas, el juego y la experiencia del jugador. A través de actividades prácticas y análisis, aprenden cómo la cultura, la narración y la mecánica influyen en el diseño de los videojuegos. El curso introduce conceptos básicos de pensamiento de diseño, colaboración y habilidades de análisis crítico, preparando a los alumnos para los cursos avanzados de desarrollo de videojuegos de la especialidad.
