Data Science Class Field Trip to NEON

The conservation data science class was in the field with NEON at their CPER tower. The students learned about sensor calibration and maintenance, as well as how NEON collects standardized data and samples using automated instruments, observation field sampling methods and airborne remote sensing surveys. It was a very windy day, but students were able to fully explore NEON’s meteorological/flux tower and examine the soil arrays.
