The Innovation Center is excited to offer summer opportunities to students just completing kindergarten all the way through high school. Below are descriptions of each of those opportunities as well as which grade level they apply to.
Grades: Elementary School (Just completed Kindergarten to Grade 5)
Welcome to Innovation Academy. For 12 years, we’ve been empowering, innovating, and learning alongside St Vrain students, and nothing is going to stop us from continuing this annual tradition! Please join us for year 12 as we continue to host Innovation Academy in-person! This exciting summer program is taught by St. Vrain Valley School District educators with the support of Innovation Center PTECH students. Innovation Academy fosters a foundation of critical thinking through inquiry-based learning and will create a community of learners that will think globally and collaboratively to develop innovative approaches to problem-solving.
Grades: 4 -12
The Innovation Center of St. Vrain Valley Schools’ SuperSTEM Camps offer innovative, hands-on learning experiences that engage and challenge students and incorporate human-centered design thinking. Camps are taught primarily by student designers and teachers from the Innovation Center, and offer a wide-range of fun STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics) activities.
Format & Dates for 2022
June camps will be offered from June 6th – 23rd, 2022, Monday – Thursday, in two sessions (Session 1 – 8:30 – 11:30 AM & Session 2: 12:00 – 3:00).
July camps will be offered from July 18th-22nd, Monday-Friday from 9:00-3:30 and July 25th-29th, Monday-Friday from 9:00-3:00.
Grades: High School (9 – 12)
Students have the opportunity to enroll in for-credit, learning opportunities both in-person and online Monday-Thursday from June 6th – 30th at the Innovation Center. Course options include Introduction to Augmented and Virtual Reality Technologies, CompTia Fundamentals, Pilot Ground, and Intro to Cybersecurity. Session times vary by course.
